IP Litigation Legal Assistant | San Diego - Hybrid | $75k-95k

Join a downtown San Diego legal team where you will support attorneys on a range of intellectual property litigation matters, including patent and complex commercial disputes. This role is ideal for an experienced litigation legal assistant with a stable work history who can manage filings, calendars, and day-to-day litigation coordination across multiple matters in a structured, deadline-driven environment. You will play a key role in keeping cases organized and moving forward, supporting attorneys through all phases of litigation in state and federal courts while maintaining accuracy and consistency.

Responsibilities

  • Draft, format, proofread, and finalize pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence, and manage electronic filings in state and federal courts in compliance with court procedures and deadlines
  • Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling court appearances, depositions, and client meetings, while tracking deadlines and ensuring timely completion of tasks
  • Coordinate communication with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors across multiple litigation matters
  • Organize and maintain case files and document management systems, while providing ongoing administrative support including billing and expense coordination

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of litigation legal assistant experience supporting multiple attorneys in a mid-size to large law firm environment
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures, filings, and court requirements
  • Experience with IP litigation or patent matters is a plus
  • Demonstrated job stability with consistent tenure in prior roles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and document management systems such as iManage
  • Excellent organizational, written, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

Overtime may be required based on workload
